Processing Day 7

Dear Burk,
I'm home now.  Mike's at the park with the kids.  My house is silent.  It's weird.  A good weird.  :)
Your left arm that you had surgery on was really swollen.  More than "normal".  They thought you had a blood clot.  Thankfully after an ultrasound, you didn't.
You now have pneumonia.  They are treating it with something.  I have no idea what.
You cough.  Hard.  An extra nurse was in the room helping re-adjust you (again--you move constantly) and looked shocked at how loud your cough was.  She said normally you can't hear people coughing.  I guess you have a big lung capacity.
The nurse said she doesn't think they'll try to extubate you again for at least a day (or two).  Which means tomorrow will probably be much like today.  We're going to try and keep mom out of there as much as possible.  No mom should have to watch her son like that.  Yuck.
