Dear Burk,
Mom changed her mind about continuing the blog. I didn't ask her to. I think she figured the moral support, interest, and conversation she receives from the readers is more valuable than trying to preserve anyone's privacy.
So the letters will continue. For now. Until things become too mundane (we could only hope) or "unreportable".
So you're home. And things are, well, as bad as we feared.
Kelli is there now. I am getting kids ready and then I'm coming too. Because we have to come up with a different plan. Because the way things are going right now, you're going to kill our parents. And we're not going to let that happen.
I have to admit that right now, I'm just mad. I don't feel bad. I'm not sad. I'm just plain mad. Because we're in this situation. Because of choices you made. And because of choices we made. I can't put all the blame on you. But this is a level we've never been to before. And there is a gigantic emotional struggle between having human compassion and taking care of and loving family, and facing life consequences.
We need a new plan. And fast.
